Architect
Required Skills
Should have at least 8-10 years experience. Should have architected significant pieces of at least two products. Should have contributed significantly to Storage software related projects. He/She should have well rounded skill set in terms of:
- Should be intimately familiar with Volume Managers, Backup Software , Replication Software, Storage Management, NDMP
- Should have good understanding of RAID, UI Design
- Should be familiar with different components of the storage infrastructure (DAS (ATA, SCSI), SAN (FC, iSCSI), NAS (CIFS,NFS) -Preferable, Storage subsystems
- Should have designed and implemented at least some of the above technologies in part or full
- Should be familiar with Driver design and development. I/O subsystems for one or more of major operating systems such as Windows NT family, Linux, Solaris, HPUX, AIX, FreeBSD, MacOS X etc.
- TCP/IP Network programming
- Fibre Channel and iSCSI programming/implementations
- Preferably in the roles of an architect or as a technical leader for couple of years at least
- Well conversant with role, responsibilities and dynamics associated with an architect and architecture function
- Strong orientation towards software engineering principles, best practices, methodologies, modeling, tools etc.
- Good people and communication skills are must
- Should be an evangelist, innovator, self-driven and driver by nature
